After officially exiting Star Wars, will we see Mark Hamill driving spaceships in a different Galaxy?

Star Wars and Mark Hamill fan Ian Fee sent a request to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn, asking if he could cast Hamill in the movie which is slated for release in 2020. Gunn’s response, as well as his subsequent conversation with Hamill, was everything that a Marvel and Star Wars fan would love. Read the Twitter exchange below:

And it looks like things got serious. After chaos ensued on Twitter, Hamill himself (no pun intended) tweeted Ian Fee back, saying thanks to him for this possible opportunity:

Aside from Luke Skywalker, Hamill’s also done a lot of voice acting work for Marvel’s animated series in the 1990s, giving life to Hobgoblin for “Spider-Man”, Gargoyle in “The Incredible Hulk” and Maximus in “Fantastic Four”. He also provided voice acting for Klaw in Avengers: Eart Mightiest Heroes and different characters for the more recent Ultimate Spider-Man. So it’s pretty logical for a major star who has done a lot of work on Marvel’s animated series to cross over to its cinematic universe. His most notable voice acting work though is for DC’s animated Batman series.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opens in theatres in 2020.
